Do I need to salt if I tan right after skinning and fleshing? Also, whats the best way to thaw frozen brains to aviod deteriation? Thanks again! You guys are great! Overtgabby

I could not get into either of those links, for some reason. I did read in another book that I could omit salting if I want to tan right away, but that the hide should be soaked in a salt solution first. However, it neglected to mention the salt ratio, or the soaking time.Ha ha about the indians microwaving! Thanks, Gabby
