No, or maybe, a cape or hide can be salted and rolled up and frozen. But why people do this, I dont know why. Salt dried is when you salt a hide to draw bodily fluids out of it to the point of no moisture in it at all. When dried completly, the hide is stable and will not spoil.
The term salted can mean salt dried, and I think when salted is used in taxidermy, it would mean dried. And then again, it depends on who is using the words. I'm not makeing this clear, am I. :-)

Salted means that the skin is salted, it may or may not be dried. It all depends on your end intentions.
Salt dried means that is dried by salting, rather than air dried. The implication here is that the skin is totally dry.
