I put straight linseed oil on Aoudad horns and didn't wipe off excess till the next day. Now it's too sticky. Anyway to remove some of it? Thanks.

I think I spelled that wrong, but hopefully you know what I'm talking about.

Don't use lacquer thinner

Though it will remove the linseed oil, you'll be right back where you started. Use turpentine. You should have mixed turpentine 50/50 with the linseed oil to begin with to stain the aoudad horns. The turpentine allows the linseed to sink in and maintain the dark rich colors of the horns and antlers of game animals.
