i just started skinning and have some difficultys with the fat istthere an way to rmove dried fat from the pelt after words and is there an easier way to remove the fat form the skin withou out basicly shaving it off with a sharp knife? please email any suggestions or help. i heard standard gas melts it off like paint thinner on paint is this true.

your just beginning a draw knife and beam is the way to go. After you have some more experience you'll find other methods ie fleshing machines pressure washers etc. Gas will not melt away fat from a hide but if you lite the gas on the hide it will make the whole hide disappear. Dont try it.
