dry preservative?

Is all dry preservative the same? Rineharts mixes well with water and McKenzies just seems to crystalize.Has anyone else run across this?

Steve, why would you be mixing it?

DP can be used with denatured alcohol and water as a fish pickle, but I don't know why you'd use it with water. The best I've ever had to use with a fish pickle was made by Ron Carter, but I've used Bess Maid by Touchstone for years without problems.

I have the same trouble with McKenzie DP when I use it in the head
and esophagus of fish. It always leaves little bumps on the
membrane above the throat latch and below the gills. I never had
this problem when I was using [a supply company] DP and it seems to dissolve
well for my alcohol and water fish pickle.
