I am A part-time taxidermist and i only do taxidermy during the fall and winter. I noticed that there is some mold that is starting to grow on some of my supplies and tools. I can tell that my basement has some moisture in it so do you think that getting a couple of dehumidifiers would help? What can I use to clean up the existing mildew with? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes a dehumidifer will help. In most cases you should be able to clean up with bleach water. Just be aware of fumes, may make you sick to your stomach.
Bleach is a strong oxidizer that will cause any metal to rust. It is even worse than the salt that is probaly already starting to make your tools rust. You need to make sure your tools are CLEAN, and the mold(fungus) won't have anything to feed on. Then spray them down with WD40 during the off season. It will keep them from rusting from the salt/pickle moisture they get exposed to during the season.
where did you ever hear that ? How do you disenfect your tables tools knifes etc.? Bleach is a corrasive agent in pure form but a good bactercide in dilluted form. Example one capeful to the gallon.
If it made all metals rust the resturant business would have nothing but rusty tables everywhere. Bleach water kills fungus and molds period. molds grow when the enviroment will support it damp dark areas. it doesnt mean your work area is dirty.
