preventing hair slip

would it be a good idea to thaw a full bobcat in the fridge as opposed to letting it just sit out, it gets pretty hot here in MO. this is the only bobcat i have ever killed and i dont really want the hair to fall out of the ears, any tips would be appreciated.

Let him partially thaw in the fridge, then start the skinning process, if that's what I assume you're doing. You always try to keep the speciman as cold as possible.

Good luck...

...and I d.p. I skin EVERYTHING as soon as it hits the door of my shop, then roll it up and freeze it till I'm ready to mount it.On cats I thaw them overnight in fridge then flesh, dry preserve and mount in same day.
