I have bought some salt at the elevator,it's not as clean as store bought,will it still work ok?

actually if it is a little coarser it will work better. Plus it is alot cheaper. If the cleanliness concerns you- mortons 'kleer' salt is a little cleaner that their kiln dried or the other off brands like moab or solar.
i use feed plain salt for horses or cattle. you can buy it at your local feed or tractor supply. here it costs about $4 for a 50 lb bag. just another option and it is clean.
I buy mine at the feed store also- cheap and it comes factory bagged and clean.
