krowtanned gray fox hide

I am getting three gray fox hides. Can I tan them with krowtann 2000 and not put them in a freezer? I don't have that much room in my (wife's) freezer, that is why I'm asking this question. I will mount one a month until I get through, but I want to go ahead and tan them. Hope this makes sence.

Thanks for your reply,
Ted

I have done several that way including bobcat, coyote and raccoons. I tan them with krowtann and do my final fleshing and then oil them. When I get ready to mount them I rehydrate them and have had no problems.

throw them in the krowtann and LEAVE them there until you need 1, 2 or 3 - it is safe to hancle this way and you dont have to worry about your wife's freezer
