just wondering what times of the year people bring in stuff to get mounted? i just started out in may and have had only 4 clients. ive been unemployed for a while now and am going to hopefully pick up a fulltime job soon and do taxi till things come in. my add will be in the phone book in october, which will bring in more business. in some ways im nervous about getting work and even more nervous about not getting work. i dont know if that makes sense at all. i nervous about someone bringing me something that i've never done before or have and posibbly [expletive deleted] it up. ive got the basics down but i seem to doubt myself. anyone else like that in my situation or used to be? take care guys.

I think its very normal to start off slow. You have to build a reputation in this business. To build that reputation you need to produce quality work on every piece that leaves your shop. Everytime someone hangs one of your mounts on the wall, they are putting your reputation on display for everyone to see. If you are not ready to take in client work, then don't. If you take the work in, you must do it well, or you'll soon be out of business (unless you're really cheap and then you'll burn out). I also think its normal to have doubts about your work. You will always be your own worst critic. My advice is keep working at it. Take your time on the pieces you do get in and do an outstanding job on them. If you don't feel you can do a great job on a piece, then do not take it in.
