Hi, my name is Scott Zykan, and I am a beginning taxidermist. I may or may not have

talked with you before, but I have a few general questions I would like to ask. If you

would take the time to answer these questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

1. Who do you use for your freeze drying? Please provide contact information for your

freeze dry company if available.

2. How do you tan your hides? Do you do this yourself? If so, which formula do you

use (krowtan, formic acid, citric acid, ect.)? If you use a commercial tanner, please

provide any contact information or recommendations.

3. What do you use as an invoice/receipt when a customer brings an animal to you?

What I am trying to ask is, other than the basic contact info, what would you need from

the customer (permit #'s, tag's, ect.) . Basically, if I brought you a specimen, what would

you need from me, and how do you keep track of each job while working on several

projects at a time?

4. PRICE LIST- Please provide what you would charge for commercial work.

Thanks, this will help me come up with competitive, yet profiting prices.

Go to the taxidermy.net and check out the taxidermist listed in your area. Most of them will have there prices listed. You could have done that in the time it took you to type that long post.
