The only place I have to work is my pole barn and I was wondering if the wild temperature swings were going to hurt anything. Here by Grand Traverse Bay it's been in the seventies and humid during the day down to around fifty or a little less at night and very humid. I noticed the fin backing I put on a walleye took about six hours to cure yesterday. I made a mold from plaster of paris yesterday and wondered if it will harden right with the temperature swings. Will it mess with laquer paint if I do it while it is still warm. Can't get the wife to let me bring some of the fantastic smells in to the house.

Can you create a room in the barn?

Or some kind of enclosed space, and get a dehumidifier --you could also keep it heated in winter for work. This has been a very rainy year, maybe it will be drier next year.
