Boar - open mouth paint schedule?

Submitted by AJ on 10/13/04 at 6:00 PM. ( ) 198.93.211.213

I checked the search already, Nothing. I was going to order the Rick Carter boar video and everything I need to do the boar. I wanted to avoid placing my order, watching the video and then having to place another order for my paints. Could someone please "clue me in" on some colors i would use on the mouth of the boar? It could even be your own color preferences. Thanks

AJ, The Video is VHS-269 and the colors used are FP-29 Black Umber and FP-165 Flesh. Other colors you may want are FP-10 Superhide White and FP-70 Chocolate Brown. The Jawset is actually pre-painted but you will have to paint the inside of the cheeks and lip lines. A boar's mouth is very similar in color to a human. You will also need some Apoxie Sculpt. Good luck - I hope you enjoy the video.

How have you been? I'll be ordering your video along with your boar #WB111 for a World show prospect next week. I have a really cool boar with curly hair all over like a sheep that I will be mounting. Can't wait to see what he will look like all finished! See you at the World!

By the way...

I was hoping you would have some wild boar reference pictures available to add to my order, but I did not see any in my WASCO catalog. Where can I find some good open mouth boar pictures? Thanks Rick!

Nooney had some boar pics and McKenzie says they will carry them also. I think McKenzie has some reference pics by Ronnie Gaillard and Research had a book as well. Can't ever have too many pics. Good luck with the mounts at the WTC. This is gonna be the biggest and most important event in the history of our industry. I hope you & Randall are practicing up on your singing. The "Bull & the Beaver" is a tough act to follow!

Charles, I'm glad the video was helpful. Once you figure out what to do there's nothing to it. Good luck with your business.

Thanks!
