If you all don't mind the request?
Could you take a look at my web site and mounts for feed back on both.
Think I can improve on both.
Thanks Johnny

I know, I need to get a life - lol!
Keep in mind, I'm pretty pickyso here goes.
Overall, not bad. I didn't see any typos so that's a plus! All the banners and movement is distracting. I like the black background, it contrasts nicely with the pics and looks good. Your text "Johnny..." on the opening page is a bit hard to read - choose a different font. Use some photo editing software on the deer pic with the visible date on the antler - easy fix. Price section is way too long. Just my opinion but I like to keep it simple here. The one deer pic with the blue ribbon - plaque is crooked on the wall.
I can't critique on anything but your fish work. The mounts' positions look fine and nice habitats. As far as painting goes I won;t get too critical as we all know how much fish colors vary. But the Smallie's paintjob looks off to me. Mainly, the vertical bars are too harsh in my opinion.
All in all a pretty nice job. Biggest fix in my opinion would be to dump the banners and definitely dump most of the movement. It's distracting and sorta gimmicky...
The pop ups, etc. are "really" bad. Nice work. You can do better with the site, I say get it done professionally or don't bother. You're work looks to be of much higher quality than the site would indicate. Just an opinion, you asked.
Look at some good reference. I bars actually look out of place too. At least I've never seen a smallie with a pattern like that. But I'm in the midwest and I don;t see too many fish outside of my immediate area...
I enjoyed your site. I would like to see pics of your bird work (since I am a bird person!) but the rest of your work is very nice!
who enjoys taxidermy for my own gratification first and the consumer's second (you'll note I do NOT rely on my work to support me. lol) and I looked it all over... I think it is a better web site than about 50% of what I see for this business. Some professionals get so tricked out on their own stuff that they fail to see that all the average comsumer is looking for (since they are not professionals and all detailed-oriented) is good visual promise in a mount at a reasonable price. Seeing a web site that appears to concentrait on business and not advertising is refreshing to me. I had some trouble reading your name on the home page so I would change that font, but I would suggest more diversity in the mammals area. Most of my clients are more into a wide variety of small critters -- skunks, groundhogs, possums and they like innovative habitats to display them. This may not be true in your area, but that's what I have seen around here and what I sell most of. Our state is so over-regulated for hunting that finding someone who isn't eating their one specimen and mounting it instead is not so common... I make it up in varment mounts between seasons and do quite well that way. Your fish look good to me and all exactly what I see out here... I really liked the catfish -- you'd be surprised how many 30 inch cats I am asked to mount and each time I have to grit my teeth -- they are not easy to deal with and because their coloration is not too exciting, you need to do what coloring you do in an exciting way. "You done good."
