Can i airbrush with gloss and satin? I saw on a tom sexton fish mounting video that he says you cannot airbrush gloss. I will be using hydromist paints to paint deer noses. Can i use an airbrush to spray gloss.

...I don't see why not. I think Tom was speaking of glossing over a broader area. A large fish would be difficult to lay down a nice even gloss coat with an air brush. A deer nose should not be a problem and in fact I would think it would be easier to use than a gun or aerosol gloss coat...
Yes you can gloss will an airbrush, especially small areas.
Use as large a nozzle as you can.
I have even glossed fish to about 4 lbs with a VL, backing the needle out of the nozzle, use a bit of retarder and a one ounce jar.
If you are using water based paints, you will not need the retarder.
If using lacquers you can crank the air pressure up to 45 psi and backing the needle out, and the retarder you can do small fish with NO PROBLEM!
