I'm purchasing a set of elk antlers its a 5 x 5 that scores around the 260 class.What would be the right size cape to put these antlers on for a shoulder mount.

It varies. I shot a 250 bull a couple years ago and it had a 29" cape (behind the ears). Just prepped a bull out this weekend that was a 330 and he had a 30". And I caped another that went 307 and his was only 27. I would say 27-29. A lot has to do with the head. A younger bulls neck is not the real issue as much as the fact that younger bulls usually have a stubby head compared to an older bull.
