How much extra cape is needed to do a pedestal mount if I plan on applying buckskin or felt to the back side?

wolfe, you really do not nead any more than normal unless your particular manniken shows allot of shoulder. I just mounted up one last week. Use Epo-Grip and give it time to set up well before trimming the hide flush with the edge of the manniken. I used mossy oak patterned felt material from wal-mart for the back of the exposed portion and trimmed the edges with decorative rope. It looks really neat and outdoorsy (if that is even a word). Make sure when you cut the excess hide off the back use a sharp scalpel blade and only cut through the hide. Do not cut all the way through the hair. You will need this hair to extend past the manniken edge to look right. Good luck and have fun.
I cut a tucking groove whith a dremel all the way around the back of the border of the form then tuck the hide and the felt or what ever you are using into the groove like tucking the lips. Looks much cleaner no border rope
I like the Camo Felt idea........that will look great.
Also, I like the groove idea because I am not a big fan of the rope trim.
Thanks guys!
