degreasing skulls

After checking the archives, seems like Super Solvent is the thing to use to degrease skull. I just did a deer head for a European mount and added Kemel 4. Will that do it until I can find some Super Solvent? And where do I find Super Solvent?

Also I wanted to know if I should bleach with Volume 40 while the skull is wet or dry? Thanks.

Rittels super solvent

Click on the blue word > Rittels < and you'll find where to get Super Solvent.

I like Super Solvent - but there are other things you can use. DAWN dish soap, acetone... lots of things. If it removes grease and oils, it will work on skulls.

I do my skulls wet, though either should work. Since you are putting a liquid on it anyway and with the paste it's only a topical bleaching, it shouldn't much matter.

oxy clean

I use oxy clean to degrease my skulls. One scoop per 2.5 gallons of water in your boiling pot. Boil the skull in the same way you always do, you will be suprised on the results. If you run out of Oxy clean you can go to the store and get it, and don't have to order and wait for it to get there.
