what do you use?

I was wondering what kind of ingredients that you use in your tumbler? I have been reading about different kinds of ingredients..like corn cob mix, borax to hardwood. Do you mix the two or what? What have you found that works good for bird and hides?

Thanks!

I used hardwood sawdust in the past but switched to the grit. I just like the grit better. I would also not recommend putting Borax in. It will cause a caked up mess.

... it depends on what you're tumbling. I prefer to use cob grit on all my birds. I used to use wood dust, but it sticks in the feathers, whereas cob grit does not. So, it depends as far as I'm concerned.

Have a good weekend to all,
