im going to use krowtann on a deer. i have look though the archives and cant find the anser to my qustion. they say to rough flesh and tan. then take it out and final flesh. do you flesh it or does this me to thin it down. any help would be appericated thanks jeff

Remove all the big red meat and fat chunks from the hide that you can. Turn and split the lips, ears, etc. Place it in the Krowtann for the recommended amount of time, then take it out and shave it down on the fleshing machine, then freeze or mount it...
I would also highly recommend you oil your skin as well after the Krowtann. Even though the tan says not to oil it, I just give it an extra oil, I have found when I do I can get a little more stretch out of my hides.
