In a hurry to thaw out a deer head. I waited as long as I could and finally went against good advise and put it in water. It worked but in my haste to get done I pulled the hide to separate it and pulled a patch of hair off the chest. Not very big but I still feel horrible.
I guess i will cut out the bare spot and sew it up and hope it turns out ok.
