I just bought a new dakota 5 from Van Dykes.My problem is I dont know if it is set up right.I know that it will take time to learn how to use it.When i used it tonight it seemed like it kept leaving lines through out my hide.is it just me or do i need to tune it alittle bit.thanks to all that reply.

I keep a carborundum stone next to my machine just for this purpose. The steels don't work as well, but will work. Work on it a little.
I will try to tune it as best I can tomorrow.Thanks again
