airbrush basics

I have a Paasche VL and the hydromist sample kit. What size tip should I be using to outline eyes and lips on shoulder mounts? I think my airbrush only came with #1 and it seems to dry and clog all the time.

I prefer the #3 tip, but you can use a #1 tip if that's all you have. To keep the paint from drying in the tip, you need to use a retarder. Also, when using a #1 tip, the paint needs to be thinner than what you would use it in a #3 tip. Thin the paint with rubbing alcohol or windex..(I'm assuming its water based).

don't keep starting and stopping your airflow, keep the paint flowing as much as possible
