flee removal

I had a custumer bring me a fox that was crawling with flees I double baged it and through it in the freezer. Will that kill the flees or will they come back around when I thaw it to skin it? what the best way to get rid of ticks and flee on a critter that comes in?

I am no pro at this but I would think flea spray would work fine, so would any other flea killer since you don't have to worry about the animal's health for some unknown reason, lol.

Fleas, my cat hates them.

Your first move is a good one. Once the fox is frozen (maybe a week or so)the fleas, mites, or ticks are usually dead. Actually I've never had to do anything else. To be on the safe side, thaw out the fox in the bag. If you see any critters still crawling, then use a flea spray. Good Luck

use raid insect spray
