I keep a taxidermy reference photo sample available on the Whitetail Designer Systems website. Those get periodically changed out, meaning when I remember to do so.

What I have on there currently is actually three photos of the same whitetail buck head shot. One is in color, the other two I converted to black and white and made a mirror image. I think you will find the mirror images a great aid in obtaining symmetry in mounting. There is a lot of good "information" in these head shots.

To get those, go to the Whitetail Designer Systems homepage, scroll down to the banner that says Taxidermy Reference Photos, click on it. When that page appears, scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on the banner that says Sample Taxidermy Reference Photo, click on it and you are there.

I also maintain the Quality Taxidermy Supply website for Terry and Tammy Lipscomb. I have a couple of fox squirrel reference photos parked on their site. Links to those are on the homepage.

All images are sized so that you can print them out all the way up to 8" x 10 1/2" if you chose to do so.

While you're there, Terry and Tammy have a "no strings attached" monthly drawing for their website visitors for a free form, they even pay the shipping. This month's form is a coyote shoulder form.

I also have a FREE online virus scan set up on hidetanning.net. The virus scan is courtesy of Trend Micro and has saved a few taxidermists' computers over this last year. A number of us on the Forums are on each other's e-mail address books. It would be appreciated if you take advantage of the free service. Click Auto Clean when that option appears, and if your computer is infected, automation takes care of the job for you. However, if you would rather, you can always take it into a computer tech and pay him to do that for you.

And last, but definitely not least, let's not forget to thank Ken Edwards and his taxidermy supply company, WASCO, for providing all of us with taxidermy.net.
