Am doing a snowshoe hare and am wondering the best way to preserve the ears and keep them erect. They seem too thin turn inside out like normal deer ears. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.

Matt,
I have found that turning them is the only way to go. If you take your time they really are not that bad. I then tan the hide and use bondo to set the ears. Be sure to card them or they will have a tendancy to curl. If you tear the ear they are easy to repair with a dry sheet. Good luck.

for my experience, turning hare hears is esyest if you salt for a night the skin then turn the ears, the ears skin looks more resistent after salting
