mounting deer feet, what's best way without freeze drying?

These are my first deer feet to mount and I want them 90 degrees for a gun rack. What's the best way, without freeze drying, and do I need to make an incision all the way to the hoof to skin? I could use some help. Thanks

You have make a cut all the way down the back of the leg, and get down into the hoof. Remove the bone, then tan the skin. Most of the suppliers carry a foot form. After the leg is finished, buff the hoof up, and install into your gun rack.

Don't have to cut

all the way. I beleive Noonkesters has a new foot form. New book just came and they have a form with hooves and dew claws already molded on and how to use them and skin the leg. Looks very simple.
