beetle temp.for cleaning?

Is there an optimal temp to keep beetles at to get them to eat,rather than just surviving temps?Thank you

I generally keep mine closer to 90 degrees... they do wonderfully there. BUT - and this is a HUGE but... they can fly at that temperature! I always allow the ambient temperature to drop down to 75 - 80 before opening the dermestarium as they cannot fly at that temperature. So if you want them at the highest temp to feed productively and still not fly? 80 degrees or thereabouts is what you are looking for. Play around that range.. if none are flying you can bump it up - but as soon as you see them flying about, knock it down a bit to prevent escapees.
