I just spen half an hour checking the archives, maybe I didn't ask for right search. How do you know what size eyes to order for a deer or coyote? Is there an average? Is it related to a specific measurement? Do you use calipers on the real eyes? Thanks in advance. Just trying to learn some things before jumping in, the more I read the more questions I have. Have gotten 3 videos, all of which helped a great deal.

At one time we did (to some degree but often we used what we had. Standard whitetail was 32mm.)but the new, snap together taxidermy, you look at the form you want and then select the eye size it recommends. Every supplier lists the recommended eye size for their specific forms. You go to the eye chart and you decide what TYPE of eye you want and you order it. Case closed.
