I skinned a Nutria and Ringtail and salted them really good. Now, the next day there are flies on the skinns. Is this normal, I have mounted a few other animals in the past and I can't remmember if there were flies on them while they were drying.
Please let me know what I can do to stop them if they are a harm to my hides.
I live in Louisiana and it is 75 degrees so that is why I have a fly problem in the middle of January!
