Skun my own cape day after harvest and and froze green.Temps were mid 30's. Fleshed and tanned w/Krowtann. Noticed some slip while doing final rinse. Froze untill mounting this past sat. Some small areas on the neck and shoulders are still slipping.I'm not pulling it,nor have i brushed it out. Will the rest of it lock up? Did 4 other deer and followed directions to a T and they were fine.
I have the fan on low about six feet in front of it.
Sincerely appreciate past responses and future ones. Thanks Jeff

Got Salt?

Did you salt the skin before freezing it? Salting really locks up the hair and is almost required to get a good mount without slippage. When the hide is thawing it can sweat and cause slippage, this is avoidable if it is salt-dried.
