I found a dead hummingbird in my yard and would like to preserve the skull & beak. How do I de-flesh and preserve the delicate skull?

Click the orange search button on the left. Type in 'maceration'. You'll get more than you ever wanted to know about this process. You could also try something like 'skull preservation', etc. The archives in this sight are an amazing wealth of knowledge. Have fun!
hummingbird parts - feathers, bones, etc - are illegal to keep I do believe. yes they are beautiful - but you may want to check into it further.
