Breakthrough and Taxidermy Today do some painting issuse on bills and feet all the time as well.
Go through the back of the taxidermy supply cataloges and they have books in there for sale as well.
Breakthrough Has the Waterfowl & Bird finishing Manual that is really good.
It costs $25 from Van Dykes
JOe Ferebee Jr. has 3 books on finishing bills too.

Van Dykes is just the one I had setting here by the computer.
If I was you also, I would get a bunch of color photos of closeups t ohave in a binder for referance as well. It is good to have a lot of different photos so you can match your duck to the color it is.
Just like mallards, the bills can be a light greenish yellow some places, and bright yellow in some, and still orange in others.
