Dry Pres/Dry Tan

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm just getting started. Is Dry Preservative & Dry Tan the same thing. Thanks, and don't be to hard on me.

DP or Dry Tan

Buckeye, Not the same. Dry Preservative is simply a green skin with preservative (generaly Borax) rubbed into it. Dry tan is a tanned skin that then is tumbled dry-requires rehydrating to mount. Enjoy, Aaron H.

Click on the "Beginners" category. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "2001" "SEP". Scroll down to the bottom of that month to 9/6/01 and read the post, "Wet Tan, Dry Tan, Dry Preserve". Should answer all your questions.
