my brother skinned a bobcat and put it in a trash can with salt all around it. then he left it like that in our garage for about a week and a half before i found out and i knew that was wrong. i quickly took it out and froze it. i am asking if there might be any problems with the skin now that i should forget even tanning it. any suggestions?

Hell you have the skin in your control, noone else has seen the so how can anyone here say?
Noone can honestly answer you. Mix a Pickle with salt, to a pH of 2.0 and about 3 gallons. put the skin in it and then tell us in about 3 days.
Dont neutralize the skin to flesh.
I see tones of peope newbies that confuse the neutralizing step.
Dont NEUTRALIZE until all fleshing is done and then only take the pH up to 5.0, thats is where most tannins work at.
not sure what problems i should be looking for. i guess my question is that can i use krowtann on the skin after thawing.
The skins probably not solidly froze. SO I would mix the Krowtann and put the skin in it.
Then over the next few hours as it thaws simply spread the skin out until totally thawed.
Thats should fix and problems or prevent problems.
