I purchased a new airbrush and wanted to know if I can use my Porter Cable (6hpr, 135psi)air compressor with it? I've checked the archives and after 2 hours decided to just post the question. Thanks, Rope

A 6 hp ought to have a good size tank and that is good. The compressor won't have to kick on as often. I assume it has a regulator on it. For airbrushing 135 psi is WAY too high. I paint(fish) at about 30 psi. Also, be sure you install a moisture trap in line between the tank and your airbrush.

Thanks

Jim, Thanks so much. Buying everything needed just for starters is drainging my pocket book. Use the compressor I already have at least save me $150.00. I'll try to find a moisture trap next. Thanks again.
