I'm trying to fix up the nose on a bobcat that I just mounted and I was wondering what is a good color to touch up the nose with. I want to make it look real and don't want to guess at it so your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan,
I have to ask if you have reference pictures of a bobcat's nose? If not, surf around and find some and print them out. This site has some in the reference section (see above) or go to

http://animals.timduru.org/dirlist/

Bobcat noses vary in color, so know what you are trying to achieve before starting.

That being said, I always completely white out the nose with Off White to start. Then mist some Natural Flesh over the white. Now mist on some Burnt Sierra to your liking. Next spray on a VERY light misting of Dark Brown on the nose pad and paint the inside of the nostrils with Dark Brown. Also paint a very fine line across the top edge of the nose with Dark Brown. Vary the amounts of color to capture the color of your reference photos.
