Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I am a novice shed lamp maker. I do it for fun and gifts for the family. I have been doing this for about three years and I have a couple questions.
1. when making lamps out of deer or elk sheds what do most people prefer to fasten the horns with. I use screws and a little bit of epoxy. This works but I am looking for something a little more solid.
2. How about covering the holes in the horns where the wire comes goes through. I use a mixture of wood glue mixed in with some bone shavings. It works but I am sure there is a better way.
3. I have experimented with many stains and I have yet to find a brand of stain that works well to stain somewhat older horns. What is everyones preference.
