... buckeye supreme that is only for tanned hides. This stuff says " may be thinned with warm water" because it is so thick you can't smear it on the form hardly. There are two, not just the one for tanned hides there is another that McKenzie carries for DP'd hides that says it will work for tanned hides also. hides=capes

You said Buckeye Supream, when in fact you are talking about Buckeye Dry preservative hide adhesive. You say the directions state that it can be thinned with warm water, and you say that it is to thick, so,,,,,,,, add some warm water to it?
...my question was has anybody tried this? How did they like it? Yes I am talking about the DP adhesive but it can be used with tanned hides. Has anyone used it with a tanned hide?
on tanned skins. But unless I was out of Buckeye Supreme, I would much rather use the supreme on tanned skins! I guess what I am trying to say is as good as the adhesive is, the supreme is better FOR tanned skins.
In case you are trying out different glues, Hilton Eppley has a glue that works with both tanned and DP skins that you might want to give a try.
