Moose Shed Antler covered in coyote urine

I recently found a gigantic moose shed and I have a problem with it. I believe it was urinated on more than a couple times by a few coyotes and it smells horrible. I want to be able to use this antler, but I don't dare bring it in my garage, let alone my house. I have soaked it in "Odor Exit"..(made for taking cat urine out of plywood) for a week now, but the smell is just as strong. I was told by a taxidermist here in town that the odor exit should get the smell out, but it hasn't. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can do? Thank you!

Do not soak in bleach, unless you want a chalky white antler!

Didn't plan on it..

I didn't plan on soaking it in bleach. I've seen what bleach does to bone and I wasn't going to take that chance with this antler. I'm at a loss for what to do. I don't know if it's the right answer or not, but I can't even boil it if I wanted to. Would boiling it in just water cause the smell to permeate more of the antler? I can't even boil it if I wanted to. It won't fit in anything! ?

I wonder if.....

Letting it dry real good then pirmer and a few coats of stain and a few good coats of clear sealer would stop the smell . Not sure but I think I would try that . Atleast even if it didn't work, the antler could still be stripped back down . Just a thought, Bradlee
