Which buffalo (species)
I just mounted a buffalo recently and I cut the horns from the skull with a saw. Then I let the horns sit in a double plastic bag in a warm spot for about 3-4 weeks . They were pretty raunchy at this time . I took them out of my shop to open them, I had a bucket of water ready to remove the slime that had developed. I rinsed the horns and the inners slid( popped ) right out. good luck
