I just purchased one at the VTA convention this past weekend. Just finished building a formica table and have only played with it a little. It has an all aluminium head and guard adjustments are so easy to make. They will be at the Piedmont Mini-Course April 28-30th. Show price is less plus you save shipping. I don't think you will be disappointed. I'll try to e-mail you this weekend as I plan on using it a lot Thursday and Friday. Heavy duty construction and looks like it would last forever. Circular knife blades are available thru Van Dykes and are approx. $65 new and $25 each to resharpen.

Well Worth The Money!

Van Dykes really out did themselves on this machine. No comparrison to the Dakota V. Well built machine. Adjustments of the guards are easy and quick to make. The machine is easy to clean and change blades. You can remove the whole side cover to clean and remove the blade. The machine has a blade lock on it to remove the blade. The only thing I suggest is that you keep it clean. Salt will eventually corode it and clogg up the adjustment screws. After every use I take it apart and wipe the whole thing down with a sponge and hot water. Towel dry it and I spray a rag with WD-40 and wipe it all down.Stand and all. It only takes me about 15 min. to do. I figure it was an investment so why not make it last. All in all I believe you won't be disappointed with it. If you have any other questions on it email me and I'll try to help.
Good Luck! Mike
