Unturned coyote ears will distort, shrink, shrivel, eventually crack and fall apart and be a "bug buffet".
Learn to turn ears Stan. Its one of the most basic of taxidermy skills and you can't survive without it. If you don't want to remove the cartilage on coyotes and smaller animals Steve Steinbring has a wonderful product called Ear Magic. Its part of his Epo-Grip line and is virtually foolproof--provided you at least turn the ears first.

then what if I use those ear liners from Van Dykes that you dont have to remove the cartaledge all you have to do is slip it in between the skin and the cartaliedge.

Just my opinion

If you're going to leave the cartilage in I would use the bonded ear method or try the ear magic. Also if you don't have an ear opener then get one as it makes turning the ears pretty easy just be careful not to blow them out on small specimens like fox.
