Form for a Jacobs ram

I am no expert taxidermist as you are about to find out. A guy asked me to mount a Jacobs ram for him. I have never mounted anything other than deer, but I am not afraid to give this a try. Should I be?

I saw a post last week where it was mentioned that it can run as much as $165 to have one tanned. I tried to call the tannery I use but they are closed today. Has anybody sent them away to be tanned and if so about what will it cost?

Also, I don't see any forms for them in any of my catalogs. Do they go by another name? If not, then what type of form do I need to use and will it need any altering to make it work on a Jacobs ram?

I know that is a lot of questions, but I need to know if this is something I want to try or if I would be getting in over my head.

Thanks for any help- Brian

A muflon form will work fine. NEW Method in SF does a great job on them. You have to get those horns cored, all four, and do a little modifing on the form for the unusual skull.

McKenzie has form

McKenzie has forms for the Jacob or 4-Horn. It is for the Corsician but can be used for four different types of sheep. If you have a tannery that will tan it, I'd advise you to let them do it. The one we normally do business with (on occasion) wouldn't mess with it. I let the horns rot off.
