I asked a while back and was advised that a dorsal incision would be best for a life size deer mount. Does that mean that the deer should be skinned before it is field dressed?

But all you have to do is sew up the belly when you mount it...i do it all the time with bears...they com field dressed and i still split them up the back...then i just sew them back togethere befoer mounting thats all...not a big problem at all
