Choice of Stands

I'm getting ready to buy my first stand for doing head mounts. I would like ot buy 1 good one. Can anyone recommend the one to buy?

You will probably like the one from Van Dykes #01501400
http://www.Van Dykestaxidermy.com/product/01501400/. It is a floor stand, very versatile and sturdy. Allows positioning for just about anything. Hope this helps

The one from Van Dykes is fine for deer heads but if you are going to do elk or moose you might want to consider buying the extra long legs for staybility or purchase the one from Reaserch Mannikins

The t-bolts wear out and so do the threads. I have rebuilt mine with larger bolts and these are no striped out. I would try a different brand. This one was cheap pricewise, and you allways get what you dont pay for.
