I am looking for taxidermists imput on prices to charge a customer, please list what you would think is a fair market value for the following (I am in the canadian market serving local hunters and non resident hunters through an outfitter, and am in city of 50 k with no other taxidermist within 30 mins). Your input is greatly apreciated. :-)

Deer shoulder mount $400?
Deer horn mount $ 75?
Elk/Moose shoulder $750?
Bugle Elk $850?
Elk/Moose horn $125?
Carribou $600?
Bear rug (5 feet) $600? ($120 per foot, minimum $475 charge)
Bear shoulder mount $250?
Bear half fighting $550?
Bear life size $1400? (aprox. 5 foot bear)
Life size coyote $500?
life size racoon $350?
Pheasent/grouse $150? (no habitat base)
Owl $150?
Canada goose $175?
lifesize deer $ not a clue

Also is it reasonable to charge more for a nonresident to adjust for the hassle of export permits?

And aprox how long is the turn around time for your products for spring and fall?

He's in Canada, so he can mount them there. Everything seems low Mark.
I'd double the owl and goose prices for sure.

I charge $700+ for elk, and I wouldn't touch a moose for less than $1000.

Deer are $450. It all depends on where you live. I can drive 2 hours east and lots of guys do elk for $500.
