Mounting a Mink

Getting ready to mount a Mink and have a question; Should I pickel and tan or is dry perserative (Borax) sufficent. If using dry perserative it would seem you could not use hide paste? is it neccessary.

What about the eyes lids are they just glued in place?

i've done a couple squirells and a mink using dry preserve, but i've also tanned muskrats for mounting using ez-100. depends how much time you want to spend on them, dry preserve is much quicker in that if you have all the materials to mount it and you've skinned it clean i'd say use it. for hide paste i used some derma grip around the head and legs, which worked but i will probably use something else next time, not sure what though.

A Mink is no different

than any other animal. That is your choice whether you tan it or DP it. With DP use a glue that is specifically for DP skins.
As for the eyes, I tuck them like any other animal.

Do you turn the eyes and lips

I have watched a mounting video for a squriel and the taxidermist did not turn thr eyes or lips and glued into place, is this proper mounting procedure.

Thanks
