what is the first thing i need to do to my turkey i want to freeze dry the head how do i cut it or skin it im sending it to hazle creek ihear there one of the better places around

..cut them straight off under the bottom of the carruncles, leaving the nape feathers. I cheat. I cut around the skin/feather line just in case something goes wrong and I end up needing that skin and feathers.


Very disappointed in Hazelcreeks heads.

I recently bought a replacement head from Hazel Creek it is awful, just awful. I mean its the worst I have seen.

Try AEWS I bought one from them and its great.

I find that really hard to beleive. Cally is very hard to beat in the turkey world heads and all. I am sure if you indeed had a problem he would have resolved it for you if you had atleast called him. If you are going to slam someones work you need to atleast attach your name to your posts.

No Happy, My guess is if you were disappointed in Hazel Creek's freeze dried turkey heads, you really don't know what a good head looks like. They are the best out there.

If your not happy with the freezed dryed heads out there try to do your own, Call Flynn's Forms he will send you all the info on how to freez dry your turky heads i have had grate success using his method
1-800-878-9373 you will be surprised with the resalts
