grey fox help

This is my first fox, and my first professionally tanned item.

I bought the fox on ebay. It is in great condition and professionally tanned. Of course, the lips and eyes are not split, and the ears are not turned. I am currently rehydrating the skin so I can do those things. My question is: Do I need to salt those areas or apply a little dp after exposing new flesh?
